I'm a former elementary school teacher turned renegade homeschool mom. I've been homeschooling my typical children for 5 years. This is the second year I've homeschooled my child with special needs.
In homeschooling my special needs child, I don't do it alone. My child works with behavioral therapists, speech therapists and occupational therapists. I serve as the moderator for all of these therapies as well as the lead teacher when it comes to academics.
My special needs child is at kindergarten level. All of the ideas here are kindergarten-age appropriate.
